A flatback earring is finished with a flat disc that sits behind the ear, secured by a threaded post that screws into place, rather than a traditional push-on butterfly back.
At The Love Diamond, each of our flatback ear studs uses a threaded fastening that sits close to the skin, making it comfortable enough to sleep in and ideal for everyday wear, stacking, and hard-to-reach piercings.
What diamond quality can I expect from The Love Diamond flatback earrings?
Our flatback earrings are made in 18K solid gold and set with 100% natural diamonds in DEF or Top Light Brown colour, with VS clarity. Every stone is expertly cut to bring out its brilliance, fire, and scintillation, bringing sparkle to every angle.

Insert the post from behind your ear, using the included insertion pin if needed. Align the front from the other side, then twist it gently into place until it sits flush and you feel slight resistance.

Yes. Eligible online purchases may be returned within 14 days of delivery, in line with our Return & Refund Policy. Your piece must be unworn, undamaged, and returned with all original packaging intact.
